Empowering Women, Advancing Sustainability: Nada’s Seagrass Innovation
At Ant International, we empower women at every stage—from inspiring girls in tech to supporting working mothers and scientists. Nada, a PhD researcher, pioneered a sustainable Posidonia restoration technique using “drina” fishing nets, merging local knowledge with science. As the first OceanX Resident, she created a 3D model to share this method globally, advancing marine conservation. By expanding access to skills, innovation, and networks, we enable women to lead change and build a more inclusive future.

Low-carbon

Adopt best practices to achieve low carbon operations

Leveraging AI for Energy-Efficient Digital Infrastructure
Whilst the adoption of AI and cloud services may temporarily increase energy consumption, industry look towards building more efficient, lower-carbon digital infrastructure. We are deploying AI-driven optimisation technologies that dynamically allocate CPU and memory resources based on real-time usage, alongside a hybrid online-offline approach that maximises hardware utilisation without compromising performance. By embedding efficiency into our operations, these technology enable us to scale whilst reducing GHG intensity of our operations.

Environmental Sustainability

Drive environmental sustainability through partnerships

Ocean Buddy: Mobile innovations driving sustainable impact
Inspired by successes like Ant Forest, Ocean Buddy is an in-app mini-program launched in Indonesia’s DANA, developed with Ant International, Conservation International, and Konservasi Indonesia. It uses gamification to link everyday digital activities to marine conservation, enabling DANA’s 200 million users to support whale shark habitat protection and broader ocean preservation. Since its launch at the IUCN World Conservation Congress in 2025, it has engaged over 500,000 monthly active users in tangible environmental action.
